Life Transitions
Change is an inevitable part of life. We all experience transitions, some planned, others unplanned. At times these changes can be exciting and momentous, and at other times they can be distressing, or highly disappointing. Regardless of the experience, life transitions often come with an adjustment period that can be very unique to the individual. Even in the best of situations, this time can represent a change from what we were accustomed to previously, and can accompany processing, effort, and creating a new “norm.” With therapy, one can learn to approach life transitions with improved coping mechanisms, resiliency and self-compassion.
