About
I am a psychotherapist practicing in Manhattan, and virtually throughout the state of New York, Florida, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. My training began at New York University where I graduated with an individualized major in Complementary Methods of Healing. I went on to obtain my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work, furthering my passion for helping others and my strong interest in understanding the contexts that shape and influence the unique human experience. I believe in a person's innate strength and capability to find peace, and experience a purposeful, fulfilling life and that therapy can play an integral role in this process. This often involves genuine connection and collaboration and I consider it a great privilege to be a part of this journey.
Prior to opening my private practice, I provided psychotherapy in mental health clinics serving adults in Miami and New York City and also served as the in-house mental health clinician for two prominent New York City High schools. During this time I also co-founded and facilitated weekly social-emotional wellness groups, focusing on a holistic range of stress management techniques and approaches.
My previous experiences have afforded me the ability to approach therapy through an integrative lens. Though my work is grounded in evidence based practices, my approach is based on the uniqueness of each individual. I often find it helpful to explore with a client the balance between understanding where patterns, behaviors and feelings may have originated and formed, while simultaneously implementing tangible, personalized, and effective tools. I strive to create an interactive, yet compassion-focused, warm approach to therapy, greatly tailored to each individual's experiences, needs, and goals.
